Addis Holding Company, one of the largest providers of jack-up offshore drilling rigs in the world in terms of number, announced that it is the largest operator of jack-up drilling rigs for Saudi Aramco, as it owns 33 jack-up drilling rigs under contract in the Kingdom, all of which have been added since 2016. Noting that its market share reached 36% as of December 31, 2022.

Addis stated, in a statement issued by it, on the occasion of its announcement of its intention to offer 30% of its shares in “Tadawul”, that the group is currently implementing one of the largest drilling rig operating projects that Saudi Aramco awarded to drilling companies after the group won two major competitions in 2022. It included a total of 16 drilling rigs, in addition to 3 contracted drilling rigs that were transferred to the group after its acquisition of Cedrill’s rigs, making the total number of drilling rigs 19 that will be delivered to Saudi Aramco.
